This size is sometimes small enough not to be counted as an ADU for some cities and counties’ permitting requirements. It weighs about 1,000-1,200 pounds and is one of the easiest sizes to set up, take down, and transport.
The 5-wall is best suited for a 1-2 person full-time home with an external bathroom or composting toilet. It would also work well as an extra room for a house, such as a guest room or office, or as a short-term rental or seasonal housing. You can make the walls tall, add windows or an extra door, and extra felt as needed.
